What methods are used in Occupational Therapy treatment?

- Planning and goal setting for therapy is performed in conjunction with the caregiver's input

- Modifications to a child's environment may be helpful (lighting, adaptive equipment, etc.)
- Use of exercises and engaging games to work on the desired skills needed for functioning
- Suggestions for home programming or ideas for educators may be provided

About: Grace is a dedicated occupational therapist with a passion for working with children and families. She delivers child- and family-centered care, integrating evidence-based approaches with her background in research and clinical practice. In therapy sessions, Grace prioritizes creating a fun and engaging environment, helping children reach their goals through a strengths-based approach that incorporates their interests.

Collaboration with parents and schools is fundamental to Grace’s approach, ensuring a cohesive and supportive environment for each child’s growth and success. Gracehas a special interest in supporting children with their mental health and emotional regulation, sensory processing, executive functioning, motor delays, and activities of daily living (ADLs).

Outside the clinic, Grace enjoys making music/singing, dancing salsa/bachata, photography, skiing, long-distance running, cycling, paddle sports, hiking, and spending time in nature.
